Pubic hair is one of that things that many try to get rid of. There are plenty of women who could care less, or don’t think twice, about hair — pubic or otherwise. Some women grow the thickest bush in the forest, while others prefer a blank slate.
There are many reasons why a person might choose to remove or trim pubic hair–for comfort, for hygiene purposes or to increase sexual attractiveness. The area should always be kept as clean as possible and must be washed when showering. Hair removal, however, is not essential to maintain good hygiene.
Shaving pubic hair is not an easy or pleasant task, it could be dangerous when done carelessly and it might have some side effect. Before deciding to shave or not to shave your pubic hair, you probably need to consider these things.
Benefits
The benefits of removal are depended of individual taste. Many adults prefer to feel smooth, or believe that removing some or all of the hair makes the genital area cleaner, smooth and enhance intercourse.
Possible Consequences
Shaving is safe when done correctly, but it’s not without side effects, points out the Palto Alto Medical Foundation. It can lead to irritated skin, ingrown hair, razor burn, cuts, bumps, blisters/pimples, genital infections, and folliculitis.
Folliculitis is an infection in the hair follicle usually caused by the bacteria Staphylococcus (staph) or a fungus. A common cause of folliculitis is recently shaved hairs re-growing out of the follicle and curling back around to irritate the skin.
So what’s your decision ? Think carefully about the reasons you decided to start shaving pubic hair. It is your body, and you should do it only if you are convinced about it. Whether it is a better appearance, a better feeling, hygienic or any other reason – count on your self and make the right decision.
